“Mimarlığın ABC’si” (The ABCs of Architecture) by Assoc. Prof. Bülent Batuman, chair of the Department of Urban Design and Landscape Architecture, has recently come out in an expanded second edition.
First published in 2012, “Mimarlığın ABC’si” focuses on the social aspects of architecture. Defining architecture as the social production of the lived space rather than simply a profession, the book explores the topic via the themes of design, nature, the city, image and politics.
